fbconfig is basically a program that edits config text files in a nice GUI environment. My philosophy behind it is that I shouldn't have to edit text files for a graphic application. There should be an easier way. A graphic way!

I have a few purposes in writing fbconfig:
  • To learn Perl and Object-Oriented Perl.
  • To learn GUI programming.
  • To learn how to use the Gtk+ libraries.
  • To make editing config files easier.
  • To do something no one has done before.
